| Marketplace | Kentucky Landlord Tenant LawPosted on November 15, 2011. Lease take over the state of Kentucky law landlord tenant moving advicea I moved to Kentucky for my ex-husband could not see his daughter for some time before he is supposed to deploy again. Our divorce was final on 10 February 2009. I told him he could stay with us until he found a place (thinking it would be only a couple of weeks). I have a monthly lease with a lady who lives there with her two children. I moved two days ago and told the owner that I was leaving. He began to cause problems with me and my daughter and now I want the place that I pay rent for. He said I can not transfer because I just lease it, she would have to fire him. Well problem is that they are best buddies now so it does not turn. She called her lawyer friend and they said if it did not turn it would begin a new lease with him from the day I gave notice to move. So my question is that I do not want him to live is there a way I can get him outa If not, by law is considered a lease that take over if I did not have to pay next month's rent (due to the 30-day notice). I do not want to pay the rent next month if he will live again and I know that if I do it'll keep my security deposit paying anyway for most of the rents. Any help pleaseaa I know it's a messed up situation. disputes between landlords can be complex, especially KY. You should talk to a lawyer and see what they think. I used quicklegalanswer.com. It was quick and very cheap. Anywho better .... wishes!
